Meg Oberer is from Frederick, MD, but is excited to lay down roots in Pennsylvania. In 2017, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from York College of Pennsylvania. During her time at York, she met her fiancé and the pair knew they would make their way back to Pennsylvania after she finished veterinary school. Dr. Meg earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) in May 2022. While she is a new grad, she is no stranger to the world of veterinary medicine. She started working for a small animal veterinarian as a kennel attendant when she was 16 and has worked as a veterinary assistant and receptionist as well. Dr. Meg knows first hand that our pets are our family and is passionate about caring for your family with love and respect. In her personal life, Dr. Meg has had ample family pets including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, and fish. Currently, Dr. Meg and her fiancé have just two pets: a pit bull named Lucy and tabby cat named Fred. Of the small critters, guinea pigs hold a very special place in her heart. It’s her dream to one day own property with chickens and bees. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their pets.
