Before Kristen came to be where she is now, she was just a little girl working hard in school with the hopes to save animals someday. Prior to joining the 30th Street Team, she started her animal career at Animal Care and Control Services as an adoptions counselor and a volunteer. This is where she acquired the skills to handle the most unpredictable animals. She even developed a soft spot for animals who were most unloved or misunderstood. After a few years, she quickly developed the urge and need to accomplish more. She found herself applying to 30th Street Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant and started in July of 2019. She has since then completed approximately 5 years of college, graduated from Vet Tech Institute at International Business College, and became a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has externed at the Indianapolis Zoo where she got to work with a variety of different species. She has even worked for VCA Emergency Animal Hospital where she owned her skills of remaining calm in the toughest of situations. No matter where she has accomplished or where she has gone, she’s always found herself back at 30th Street Animal Hospital with what she considers to be her “Dream Team”. Kristen enjoys working with the team at 30th Street but loves educating clients and working with the toughest of cases more, as her passion dives deep into those that need the help the most.
When she is not at work, you will most likely find her at her home studying to improve her skills, cuddling her pets, or out with friends and family.
