Dr. Bridget Landon knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age. She grew up with cats, dogs, and pocket pets.
After graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst from the Honors College with a degree in Biochemistry and 2 minors, Dr. Landon moved to Texas to expand her experience in the field of veterinary medicine by working as a technician in a general and avian practice. She fell in love with bird medicine and was introduced to non-traditional healing modalities. She attended Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine where she tracked mixed and exotic medicine. She was both a class representative and President of the Annual TAMU CVM Open House and actively participated in the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, Veterinary Business Association, American Equine Association, and ZEW (Zoo, Exotics, and Wildlife) Association. After graduation in 2005, Dr. Landon moved to Reno, Nevada, where she practiced large and small animal general medicine, surgery, and exotic medicine for a few years before moving to Corpus Christi, Texas where she continued to practice general and exotic medicine. Dr. Landon became certified in CWD testing for whitetail deer and related species. She is currently APHIS certified level II for international health certificates
Dr. Landon recently moved back to Reno and is thrilled to join the Mountain View team. She has a special interest in surgery, nutrition, behavioral medicine, and exotic animal medicine. She is extremely excited to be able to integrate holistic medicine with her western medicine approach and is looking forward to expanding current medical services to exotic pets, including small mammals, reptiles, and birds.
When not in the office, Dr. Landon can be found hiking, off-roading, and exploring the local terrain with her children. She is also “mom” to 3 trouble-making felines and a precocious sheltie. On her “down time,” she enjoys immersing herself in her lifelong passion for dance, as well as baking, sewing, and refinishing furniture. She is excited to call Reno home again and put down roots.
