Dr. Malak was born in Assiut, Egypt, and grew up surrounded by many of farm animals, cows, sheep, goats and her two favorite dogs. She also has a special love for horses and wishes to work with them one day. She graduated from the University of Assiut with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She then moved to Florida with her husband Ramy 5 years ago. One year later, she had her lovely son who is now 3 years old. To expand her experience in the field of veterinary medicine, she worked as a technician in a small animal clinic in Trinity, Florida. She was lucky to be mentored by a veterinarian with 15 years of experience. Then she completed her internship working in a big corporation of small animal practice to continue learning. She volunteered to do small animal surgeries in a humane society shelter where she was mentored by a veterinarian with over 40 years’ worth of experience who taught her a lot about veterinary medicine. She has a special interest in Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, and Dentistry and wishes to expand her knowledge by learning more about ultrasonography, Eastern Medicine, equines, and exotic animal medicine. In her free time, Dr. Malak loves spending time with her family, and traveling to discover new places and try new food. She also enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time biking with her little son. Dr. Malak moved recently to Reno, Nevada, and she is so excited to join Mountain View Animal Hospital and Holistic Center team.
Dr. Malak is a Veterinarian (Doctorate) graduate of Egypt and is currently completing her final accreditations in the United States. Mountain View Animal Hospital and Holistic Pet Care is proud to include externships and VGAL enrolled doctors (Veterinary Graduate Awaiting Licensure). These highly qualified doctors undergo rigorous and specialized testing that many recognize as being more difficult than US veterinary graduates undergo. Mountain View Animal Hospital and Holistic Pet Care is extremely proud and grateful that we have created a collaborative workplace for these graduate doctors while also helping support the medical demands of our local community.
