Monica has always had a passion for all things animal related. More than a few of her earliest memories revolve around tending her pet guinea pigs, snakes, fish, and cats! From an early age, Monica would help rehabilitate wild critters that were injured or abandoned, including orphaned baby bunnies, birds, and squirrels.
As her zeal for animal care grew, it evolved into volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary as well as running an animal club during her high school years. She moved from the Bay Area, CA to Reno, NV in 2018 to pursue a career in veterinary care where she found herself immersed in the Mountain View family. She started in the doggie daycare facility and worked her way up to become a veterinary assistant, often training and mentoring new team members. Her interests in veterinary medicine encompass exotic and urgent care/emergency medicine. Over the last few years, she has cared for and fostered many animals, including her most recent addition, a boisterous and adorable lab mix named June Bug.
Monica’s spare time is spent with her family, friends, and of course her two dogs, Dakota and June Bug, her kitty Reginald, and her bearded dragon Wormy. She enjoys traveling the across the globe, camping, swimming in Lake Tahoe, and cooking! Her dream is to one day own a property where she can rescue injured or abandoned animals and work with children in the foster care system!
