A Washington rooted, second generation cowgirl otherwise known as Savanah, is a Veterinary assistant here at Mountain View Animal Hospital. She was born and raised in Tri Cities, Washington which is known for the abundant agriculture which influenced her love for animals and all things western.
Growing up on a farm with goats, chickens, ducks, cows, and horses, she was raised with plenty of activities to keep her busy (including lots of manure.) Savanah began showing horses in 4H and then transitioned to rodeo which became her passion. She was even a rodeo queen, which entailed traveling to professional Rodeos across the state of Washington while promoting the sport of rodeo.
Soon after her reign ended Savanah packed up her four-legged partner, that goes by the name of Richard, a 10-year-old (very stubborn) miniature dachshund and moved to Reno, Nevada to peruse a new adventure. Since moving to the battle born state, she fell in love with all the outdoor amenities that the Reno/Tahoe area has to offer. She loves skiing, hiking, and traveling. While veterinary medicine has always been a passion of hers, she plans on becoming a registered nurse and hopes to someday work in the Trauma intensive care unit.
