Dr. Sheryl M. Trivits completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech and was awarded a B.S. Degree in Pre-Veterinary Science. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Trivits would go on to Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
She came on board with our hospital in 1997, bringing her ten years of experience to our practice. A general practitioner, Dr. Trivits has professional interests in surgery and new innovative procedures.
Her interest in becoming a veterinarian began as a young adult while spending summers on her relative’s farms. She finds that the best thing about animals is the companionship they give to us. It is so unique and unconditional that as pet owners, we must pay special attention to recognize when they are not feeling well because many times they mask their symptoms in an effort to make us happy.
Dr. Trivits enjoys gardening, biking, camping, and kayaking. She is joined at home by her husband, cats, and Labrador, Ziva.
