Karen Mountz is a life-long Michigan resident who is employed as a public librarian in Rochester. Her passion lies in volunteering. When no longer needed as a Girl Scout leader, Junior Great Books facilitator, or PTA member, Karen turned her focus to companion animals. She has volunteered with several animal welfare organizations, helping with low-cost spay/neuter clinics, TNR activities, No Kill conferences, and with a Facebook page for Michigan lost and found pets. Joining the All About Animals Rescue board in spring of 2019, she has assisted with traveling shot clinics and thoroughly enjoys meeting pets and their people, witnessing firsthand the impact of the events. Karen is pictured here with Who-cat, once a community cat enjoying life indoors [citation].
