Krishana Raghubeer is a New York native whose insatiable love for animals began with the city’s stray cat and pigeon populations. They earned their BA in Psychology at Barnard College and completed their veterinary studies at Tufts University. Professionally, they are particularly interested in surgery, dermatology, and palliative care. Prior to veterinary school, they worked in community and shelter medicine, where they developed an appreciation for the varying needs of New York’s pets and pet parents. As the parent of a particularly spicy, ex-stray cat, Dr. Raghubeer cares deeply about reducing fear, stress, and anxiety in their patients and is a Fear Free Certified Practitioner. Dr. Raghubeer is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strives to make the veterinary field a more inclusive space for animal lovers of all identities. They endeavor to be a veterinarian who strengthens the human-animal bond, advocating for both pets and owners, and providing a variety of high-quality, evidence-based care options that meet the needs of both pets and pet parents.
