Dr. Darla Rewers is a licensed veterinarian in Washington and California, certified in veterinary acupuncture, tui na massage, and Chinese herbs. She graduated from the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002, where she was one of only ten out-of-state students accepted among thousands of applicants. She earned her acupuncture certifications from the Chi Institute (Reddick, Florida with Dr. Huisheng Xie) and the American Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (Seattle, WA with Dr. Richard Panzer).
After practicing at busy clinics in Florida, Dr. Rewers moved to the Greater Puget Sound Area in 2005. She moved Ancient Arts Holistic Veterinary Services to its current location in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle in July 2008. Dr. Rewers uses acupuncture, Chinese herbs, massage, nutrition, and other gentle healing modalities to create an overall natural treatment plan for pets. She also teaches Qi Gong meditation and art intentionality workshops to humans to help themselves and their pets.
Dr. Rewers is certified in Qi Gong instruction through the Supreme Science Center and is a certified Reiki Master. She has completed the Center for Integrative Veterinary Medicine's Bioregulatory Medicine Course in Homotoxicology and is a graduate of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies' Three-Year Program in Advanced Initiation in Shamanism & Shamanic Healing. She is an ordained minister, certified spiritual healer, and Earth Steward through the International Assembly of Healers and Earth Stewards Congregation. Dr. Rewers has also been initiated by the Atlantic Spotted Dolphins and is an illustrator specializing in medical, conceptual, and other art forms [citation].
