Dr. Mitchell is a 1986 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He continued his education at Colorado State University, earning a PhD in anatomy and neurobiology, as well as becoming board eligible in anatomic pathology. Following that, he practiced the majority of his veterinary career in Pennsylvania. He relocated to Virginia in February 2023 and joined the Animal Care team. His hobbies during his free time include hiking and biking, spending time with his dog Sampson, and most recently learning to kayak [citation].
