Dr. Wayne Rosenkrantz graduated from the University of California – Davis in 1982. He completed his private practice internship in 1983 before joining Dr. Craig Griffin for a residency-training program. His program was combined with interaction at the Medical School at UC Irvine, and he achieved Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in 1986. He has served on many related veterinary dermatology organization committees, received numerous awards for his contributions, and has published extensively. He currently actively trains and teaches residents and veterinarians in the field of veterinary dermatology and dermatopathology. Dr. Rosenkrantz’s dermatopathology expertise includes training with world-renowned veterinary dermatopathologists (Dr. Tony Stannard and Dr. Emily Walder) and comparative dermatopathology training with Dr. Ron Barr, an internationally recognized human dermatopathologist, during his studies at the department of Dermatopathology UCI Medical Center. He is a member of the International Society of Veterinary Dermatopathology (ISVD) and has been a leader in reading and interpreting dermatopathology for 40 years. His areas of expertise are in inflammatory and autoimmune skin disease and correlating dermatopathology findings with clinical disease and therapeutic recommendations [citation].
