Dr. Gibney was born in New Jersey. He graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Medical Technology in 1983 and again from MSU college of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Dr. Gibney owned a small animal hospital in South Jersey from 1993 to 2017, after working in two private practices in NJ previously. As an active reptile owner, he saw a need for “other” animals to be cared for and used that interest to try to help exotic animals and the people who had them. He was able to do a period of time watching over the zoo animals Bridgeton Zoo in NJ. He is most proud of his three children, one of which is currently attending Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine [citation].
