Hannah Monroe was born in Hattiesburg, MS and raised in Moss Point, MS by her great grandmother. She began her college career at Tuskegee University. While at Tuskegee University, she became a member of the National Society of Pershing Angels Sorority, Inc. She also worked as a veterinary technician and assisted as a platoon leader for the 30 Medical Brigade, in Baumholder Germany. In May of 2019, she obtained a bachelor's in Animal Science, and commissioned into the United States Army, as a second lieutenant. She graduated on May 6, 2023 from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. While in vet school, she served as a liaison for providing externship/job opportunities to students with VCA Hospitals, the student liaison for the American Heartworm Society, where she educated students on heartworm disease and management, and the Surgery Club vice president. Today, she is a veterinarian in the United States Army. Her interests include becoming a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and also Small Animal General Practice. In her free time, she loves to spend time with family, friends, and giving back to her community. She also loves spending quality time with her fur babies, Laila Ali and Koa Blu. With the motivation and support of others, she has been successful in achieving her academic endeavors and wishes to be a role model for future generations.
