Dr. Katrina Johnson has been a veterinarian for 29 years, having graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's in Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Upon graduation, Dr. Johnson started working at Forest South Animal Hospital where she saw a wide variety of patients including cats, dogs, rabbits, hedgehogs, ostriches, ducks, chickens, possums, ferrets, all reptiles, guinea pigs, potbellied pigs, and a host of other pets. Dr. Johnson is a strong advocate for senior pets, preventative medicine, and of course exotic pets.
Dr. Johnson's hobbies and interests include singing in her church choir, playing the piano and guitar, gardening, art, and running long distances. She will be running her third Chicago marathon this year. Dr. Johnson has two daughters; her oldest is a sophomore at Marquette University and her youngest is a junior in high school. Dr. Johnson's four-legged children include a Russian tortoise named Burch, a bearded dragon named Faith, a cat named Scatters, and an axolotl named Jedi.
