Dr. Maggie Cheney grew up in northern Virginia before going west to study microbiology at Reed College in Oregon. She then moved south earning her DVM from the University of Tennessee in 2021. She completed additional training in specialty and emergency veterinary medicine and spent a year at the busiest wildlife center in the world treating injured wildlife. Her veterinary interests include all species of exotic pets, cats, integrative medicine, and non-profit work. She is glad to be in Maine and closer to family. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading, exploring vintage shops, and spending time with her pets. She is owned by a Pomeranian mix named Milo and two cats named Norah and Luna(tic).
