Dr. Craig Price and his wife of over 35 years, Tamera, are the fearless leaders and owners of Black Creek Veterinary Hospital. Both are graduates of the University of Florida where they met while earning their Bachelor’s degrees in Animal Science. Dr. Price graduated in 1986 from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine while Tamera earned her Master in Science Education that same year. Together they built their dream by opening Black Creek Veterinary Hospital in August 1988. While Dr. Price has continued to enthusiastically provide high-quality veterinary medicine, Tamera’s role has evolved from the combined position of Practice Manager, Technician, and kennel staff to what she now fondly describes as “Crowd Control”. Since that time their family has grown to include their now-adult children and their spouses: Dr. Caley and Michael Sciardi, Tori and Ryan Aplin, and Dr. Wyatt and Kristen Price. Now after over 30 years of navigating the changes of family, work, and life, they both remain committed to the challenges of the ever-changing landscape of veterinary medicine, the bond they share with the families of their furry, feathered, and hoofed patients, their ever-growing family, and their dedication to providing top-quality care [citation].
