Dr. Behrends received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 1979. He was an associate veterinarian in Angleton, TX before returning to the hill country, where he was born and raised (Stonewall & Fredericksburg). The practice was established in 1981, and he has been an active practitioner in mixed animal medicine in Blanco since. Along with being a father of two, Dr. Behrends is an active member of First Baptist Church and a board member of the Blanco County Appraisal District [citation].
