Emily has always had an interest in spending time with animals. After a few years of working in another field, and volunteering at a local animal shelter, she was able to join the Blue Grass Veterinary Hospital family. She is so happy she got this opportunity. When she was little, she wanted a dog so badly. Her dad told her she could get a dog when they had a fenced-in yard. When they moved to Blue Grass, their yard was fenced in, and as a child, she remembered her dad’s promise to her. She remembers going to the Humane Society and finding the puppy who was sound asleep laying upside down, and she fell in love. Her parents told her that they needed to think about it before adopting, so they went home. A few days later, she came home from school, and there was her puppy. She named her Casey.
