Dr. Michael Wolland has been with BVC since spring of 2023, but has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 55 years. He completed his undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College, and graduated from the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1968. He has an interest in preventative medicine as well as endocrinology. Dr. Wolland knew he wanted to be a veterinarian from the age of 10. His love of animals as a child was not limited to just dogs and cats, but loved monkeys and rabbits as well. Dr. Wolland grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, but has lived in New York, “The County” in northern Maine, and Maryland. When Dr. Wolland is not working part time at Brewer Vet Clinic, he enjoys playing bridge and ballroom dancing. He first visited Brewer Vet as a client with his French bulldog and ended up staying half the day to shadow our staff. He loved it here so much that he decided to join our staff. Dr. Wolland now resides in Bangor. When asked if he has any fun facts about his life he’d like others to know, he replied “I was alive before Pearl Harbor and went to the movie theater as a kid and paid 25 cents total for the movie, a popcorn, and a drink!” [citation]
