For as long as she can remember, she always wanted to be a veterinarian. That dream came true in June of 1987 when she graduated with her DVM from the University of Georgia (go Bulldogs!). Her first job was in Asheboro, NC at a 6-man mixed animal practice. After a year, she moved back to Morgantown, WV to work in a small animal practice. In October of 1989, she started her own practice, Brookvalley Veterinary Clinic. She did a small animal / horse practice doing both house calls and office calls. She owned and operated Brookvalley until November of 2019 at which time she sold the practice and semi-retired. She now works 2 nights a week at the NCWV ER Clinic in Fairmont and 2 days a month at Buckeye Run Vet in Salem. She appreciates the opportunity Dr Ford has provided her here at Buckeye Run. When not working as a veterinarian, she raises Belted Galloway cattle, pigs, and both egg and meat chickens. 'Life is full, and I am blessed beyond measure.' [citation]
