Bryan Welch grew up in central MA (Upton). He summered in Cape Cod since 1996 and currently lives in Plymouth with his wife, three cats, and a Golden Retriever. His special interests include immune-mediated, gastrointestinal, urinary, and endocrine diseases. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of New Hampshire in 2016. He then obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Atlantic Veterinary College in 2020. He is currently defending his Master of Veterinary Science at Atlantic Veterinary College. He completed an Emergency and Critical Care internship at Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists from 2020 to 2021 and a Small Animal Internal Medicine residency at Atlantic Veterinary College from 2021 to 2024. He is board-certified in small animal internal medicine since 2024. He has published several articles, including "Idiopathic cervical abscesses in dogs follow seasonal trends and geographic risk factors, predominantly affecting young, large breeds: a case-control study of 67 dogs in New England" in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, August 2024, Volume 262(10) [citation].
