I was born and raised in Charleston and have felt connected to the veterinary community here since I was a kid. After completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Miami, I moved abroad for a short period before moving back to Charleston. I quickly found myself being called back to veterinary medicine. I began working as a veterinary technician at the clinic I grew up taking our family pets to before being accepted to the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, I completed a one-year rotating internship in Hollywood, Florida followed by a clinically intensive three-year residency program in internal medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. After completing my residency, my husband and I moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I worked as an internist for two years before moving home to Charleston. What I love most about internal medicine is the relationship I form with my clients and patients. I strive to treat every patient with the attention to detail I give to my own pets. I am ecstatic to be back in the amazing city I grew up in. I make this move home with my husband, Shmuel, a pediatric dentist, and my daughter Batya (“Bethe”). I have a perfect dog, Sababa, and a ridiculous cat, Jondalar. Outside of work we love to travel, attend concerts and plays, cook, and are always excited to try a new restaurant. Charleston is a different place than when I left ten years ago and I can’t wait to get involved in the city it has become
