Tamara was born and raised in Oceanside. She has always had an interest in working with animals. It wasn’t until a stray dog came roaming into her front yard that this interest furthered. Tamara and her family happily welcomed this stray into their home, naming her Bella. Unfortunately, they soon realized that she was very sick with parvovirus. They took Bella to their local veterinary hospital where they decided they were not going to give up on her. Throughout Bella’s treatment and recovery, Tamara developed a very strong interest in veterinary medicine. Not only did Bella survive parvovirus, she is now a happy and healthy senior dog. Tamara began her first job in the veterinary field in 2013 and achieved her goal of becoming a registered veterinary technician in 2018. In 2021, she became a part of the Coastal Animal Hospital team. She is an advocate for fear-free practices and is always striving to learn new ways to help comfort your fur baby in stressful times. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and working out [citation].
