Dr. Catherine Rob has worked as a small animal veterinarian for the past 12 years in Cape Cod and Seattle. She grew up in rural Vermont with backyard goats, sheep, chickens, and ducks. Her first business venture was selling her chicken eggs when she was nine. She has fond memories of helping her dad take care of their pets, from trimming her goat’s hooves to bottle-feeding lambs.
She left Vermont to attend Amherst College, where she studied biology and met her future husband, Giora while dissecting horseshoe crabs in a biology class. Her upbringing then led her to the Royal Veterinary College in England. Vet school was filled with good times, one of the best being the three weeks she spent working the night shift on a sheep farm, delivering hundreds of lambs under the Northern Lights.
Catherine has always felt fortunate to have found what she considers the best profession on earth. While not working, she always looks forward to days spent outdoors with her husband, three children, a brindle boxer mix from PAWS, and an energetic chihuahua mix from Red Waggin’ Rescue [citation].
