Susan Crowder is an active member of the community, teaching Sunday school and volunteering at elementary schools. She has over 10 years of experience in veterinary practice, including practice management prior to specializing in dentistry. Dr. Crowder serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the American Veterinary Dental College and the Executive Board of the Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry. In 2022, she received the Peter Emily Service Award from the American Veterinary Dental College for her years as an officer and website designer for the college. She graduated from Kansas State in 1998 and has practiced in the Kansas City area since 2002. Dr. Crowder has published veterinary dental articles, participated in clinical research, authored several dental articles, and is an international speaker on veterinary dentistry. She is a Midmark Academy in-clinic trainer and served as President, President-elect, and Treasurer of the American Veterinary Dental Society during a critical merger of the Society, Academy, and Foundation. Dr. Crowder served as a board examiner for the American Veterinary Dental College from 2012-2017 and fulfilled the role of head archivist. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Crowder shares her love of dentistry with her husband, Dr. Ric Crowder, who is a family dentist and owner of Crowder Family Dentistry. They have three children, Kayla, Brennan, and Madeline.
