Lora Schelle grew up in a small town in Ohio. From a young age, due to her curiosity and love for dogs, cats, birds... well pretty much everything, it was evident that Lora was destined to have a career caring for animals. As she got older, Lora participated in 4-H, in pre-veterinary clubs, and eventually started working for her family's vet office where she worked as a veterinary technician for 10 years.
Lora attended Hiram College where she received her bachelor's degree in Biology, before attending Ohio State University (GO BUCKEYES!!) where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2004. After graduation, she moved to Arizona where she started her career as a veterinarian, and met her husband Sean.
Lora and Sean share their lives and their home with a cat, four dogs, and Kiwi - their Yellow-Naped Amazon Parrot. Apart from hanging out at home and with friends and family, playing with their non-human children, they enjoy outdoor activities such as camping and hiking.
In 2015, Dr. Schelle started her own mobile veterinary practice in Queen Creek - Schelle Mobile Veterinary Services - serving patients in the comfort of their own homes in QC, Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, San Tan Valley and beyond. Lora also did relief work at veterinary clinics around the East Valley. In 2018, frustrated by the delays of renting surgical suites for patient cases, Lora decided to expand her practice and build her own vet clinic in Queen Creek, and Compassionate Animal Care was born [citation].
