Dr. Tammy Eichmann has over 27 years of experience as a veterinarian. She graduated from Tuft’s Veterinary program in 1993 and started practicing immediately upon graduation. Originally from California, she decided to pursue her Veterinary degree in Massachusetts, and then later settled with her family in Oregon. She started a small animal practice at her home in Days Creek and five years later moved the practice to its current location in historic Canyonville. Moving the hospital to Canyonville allowed her to expand her services and provide a cutting-edge veterinary hospital for her clients and patients. Veterinary medicine was a lifelong dream for Dr. Tammy, and she never wavered from her plan to be a veterinarian, even though she pursued a career in teaching for several years prior to veterinary school. In 2019, she decided to open a second practice in Myrtle Creek to serve the growing demand for veterinary care in Douglas County. She has two children who are both pursuing their own dreams and professions. Her husband Don is the practice manager and holds a business degree from Stanford University. Dr. Tammy has many animals of her own, including horses, chickens, many birds, cats, and her best dog friend Sparky. She has devoted her life to the care of her veterinary patients and is a compassionate and caring veterinarian [citation].
