Dr. Chad O'Connor graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Prior to veterinary school, he received his bachelor’s degree in animal science with a minor in chemistry from the University of Illinois. Dr. Chad loves the excitement and challenges of veterinary medicine and the day-to-day variety that it presents. His strongest interests lie in small animals, especially dogs and cats. But he also enjoys dabbling in large animal medicine, especially cattle and pigs. Dr. Chad grew up in Herscher, IL where he raised show pigs, feeder cattle, and a variety of other species typical of small family farms. When he is not in the office, he enjoys watching sports and spending time with family, especially his wife Becky, son Declan, and daughter Elliott [citation].
