Dr. Kevin Phelps is a 1989 graduate of Mississippi State University-CVM. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi, more affectionately known as Ole Miss. Immediately following graduation, Dr. Phelps moved to Harrisonburg, VA in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley for his love of the mountains and outdoors. He moved to the Tri-Cities area in 1992 and met his future bride, Heather. They have 4 children (Kendall, Clark, Kara, and Kinsey), two Springer Spaniels (Miller and Ivery), and one orange tabby cat named Clementine. When away from work, Dr. Phelps spends his free time supporting his daughters in show choir and dance competitions. He enjoys playing hand bells and singing in the church choir at Grace Lutheran in Chester. Dr. Phelps joined the Crater Road team in December of 2018 and proceeded to purchase the hospital in April of 2019 [citation].
