Dr. Lachlan McQueen was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The University of Melbourne in 2014. After graduating, he completed a Small Animal Internship at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He then moved with his wife to New Orleans, where he spent a year and a half working at a small animal practice. Dr. McQueen then made the decision to move back to Mississippi and work at Crossroads Animal Hospital. After four busy years spent working at Crossroads, Dr. McQueen earned Diplomate status from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, becoming the first canine/feline specialist in Oxford and one of only four in the state of Mississippi. Throughout his career, Dr. McQueen has developed a keen interest in gastroenterology and endoscopy (member of the Veterinary Endoscopy Society), ultrasonography, and cardiology [citation].
