Dr. Pete hails from Birmingham, Alabama and graduated from Auburn University’s College of Science and Mathematics in 2011 and College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After a stint as an emergency veterinarian in Cincinnati, Ohio, he began working at Dr. Norm’s in 2017. Dr. Pete’s special medical interests include ophthalmology, dermatology, surgery, and preventative medicine. He is a proud “parasitology nerd” with a passion for prevention of infectious diseases and zoonoses – diseases that can pass between animals and humans. Dr. Pete enjoys spreading knowledge regarding veterinary medicine and working with pet owners to develop a team approach toward optimal animal health and a healthy human-animal bond. In his free time, Dr. Pete likes spending time with his family: wife Stephanie, son James, and daughter Eleni. He also enjoys playing golf, paddleboarding, swimming, and watching classic movies. He is an avid Auburn fan and was a cheerleader for Auburn from 2009-2011. Dr. Pete has a Chihuahua named Jase, a Labrador Retriever named Sadie, and a Sphynx Cat named (thanks to James) Pete the Cat.
