I was born in Southern California, but grew up in Shanghai, China. I moved to the Bay area after graduating from university, because I had friends who lived in the area. I was drawn to the practice because of its wonderful team and the opportunity to learn and become a well-rounded veterinarian. Currently, I do not have any furry family members, but I did grow up with a golden retriever whom I will always hold close to my heart. My parents still reside in Shanghai, but they do their best to visit me and my brother, who lives in New York City. My favorite food is hotpot, which always reminds me of home and is a fun activity to share with friends. I enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants, hiking, and playing sports with friends. I can move my ears and juggle. One day, I hope to visit Switzerland. Personally, I want to take my parents on a nice trip with my own money. Professionally, I want to provide the best care possible as a general practitioner and be skilled in every area, from diagnostics to surgery. I cannot watch a horror movie without screaming and feeling as if I’ve run a marathon. My friends say that my screaming always makes the horror movie scarier. My top recommendations for binge-worthy television shows or Netflix series would include “The Crown,” “Workin’ Moms,” “All of Us Are Dead,” and “Sex Education.” I like to eat a nice dinner followed by a hot shower to decompress and relax after a long day. I am slightly more introverted than extroverted. Hanging out with people is always fun, but I am also perfectly content to entertain myself at home. I always bring a bag—even if it’s only a short trip to the post office. Dr. Lee received his veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College in London. After graduation, he worked in a small Bay Area general practice and gained valuable experience caring for dogs and cats, as well as the occasional hamster and guinea pig [citation].
