Dr. Felicity Moffatt is more than a doctor and veterinary visionary. She is also an Aussie, and proud mom to her two- and four-legged kids. She hails from Melbourne, Australia, but has been living and working overseas for the past 10 years. In 2018, she moved to San Francisco from London to pursue an exciting work opportunity and to be closer to family. She quickly fell in love with the Bay Area and has been living there ever since.
Dr. Moffatt is the proud pet mom of Peggy Sue Moffatt, a 3-year-old domestic shorthair cat who entered her life when she was only 3 months old. Peggy had been attacked by a suspected dog or coyote, sustaining severe injuries. After working tirelessly to stabilize Peggy, which required amputating her leg and ear, Dr. Moffatt clearly saw that she is a fighter and that she belonged with her. Peggy went through tremendous hardship and still prevailed, one example of their furry companions’ amazing resiliency.
Dr. Moffatt is also fortunate to have an incredible partner who supports her through all the challenges she takes on in life, including joining the Dr. Treat team to create a radically new approach to veterinary care. In addition to their fur baby, her partner and she are parents to a human baby who joined their family last year. Their son is 15 months old and has just started walking, bringing so much joy to their life every day.
Dr. Moffatt received her veterinary degree from The University of Melbourne Veterinary School, which is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC) [citation].
