Dr. Iris Pinsky received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Georgia in 1995. She later became credentialed in veterinary acupuncture (CVA) from the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture (AAVA) in 2010. Growing up as a military brat, Dr. Pinsky was born in Panama and raised throughout the US and Panama. She found her passion for wildlife and exotic animals at a young age. After receiving her DVM, she worked at Emory Animal Hospital for a few years before coming to Dunwoody Animal Medical Center in 1999. Dr. Pinsky is happily married and has one daughter and one son. She lives with a menagerie of animals including six dogs, two cats, and three birds. She enjoys traveling, cooking, arts/crafts, as well as the beach, boating, and fishing. Her favorite part of working in veterinary medicine is helping and educating new puppy and kitten owners, as well as guiding pet parents through hard times [citation].
