Kaitlyn Evans cares for pets in Cedar Rapids, IA at VCA Edgewood Animal Hospital. She decided to go into veterinary medicine after her brother brought her a sickly German Shepherd puppy named Chloe. The moment she met Chloe, she knew they would have a special bond forever. Chloe gave her purpose, taught her patience, and showed her the unconditional love that only an animal can give. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Chloe is still with her and has been joined by another German Shepherd named Kenna—they continuously teach her new things and never fail to make her laugh out loud at least once a day.
She loves working with all animals, but especially enjoys the challenge of building relationships with fearful and anxious pets to lessen the stress associated with their veterinary visits. She also puts a high priority on preventative health in the hopes of increasing the good quality years we get with our pets. It is her goal to create a collaborative partnership with her clients to best serve and care for their pets [citation].
