Kristin started working at FVH in 2012 as a veterinary assistant. She has a B.S. in Biology from the University of Southern Maine, and an A.A.S. degree from San Juan College in Veterinary Technology. She obtained her LVT status in 2020. Through her experience in the veterinary field, she has developed special interests in laser therapy and anesthesia. Since becoming a team lead and training director for the technician team, she has been able to pursue her true passion for coaching, mentoring, and educating others in this field. In addition to working at FVH, she will be teaching and assisting lectures and labs for a local community college veterinary technician program. Outside of FVH, Kristin lives in Portland with her husband Chris, and their 4 children: Laci, Bria, Myles, and Cooper. They have a dog (Gryffin) and cat (Max). Her other hobbies include coaching/playing ice hockey, running, Orangetheory fitness classes, hiking, journaling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends [citation].
