Dr. Yoleidi Fontes earned her degree as a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Y Loinaz, Camagüey, Cuba in 1996. She passed the board and obtained her license in 2013. She was a technician from 2009 to 2013. Dr. Fontes was previously working for Banfield Pet Hospital for 2 years, before she opened her own clinic on July 1, 2019. Her goal in life is to be able to care for animals in need and provide a better living for them. She is an active member of the Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), South Florida Veterinary Medical Association (SFVMA) and Cuban Veterinary College. In her free time, Dr. Fontes enjoys studying, reading books, and spending time with her family and friends and her dog Blanquita.
