Megan joined the Franklin Farm team in 2018 and is currently a veterinary student at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She plans to work with small animals but has a special place in her heart for cows. She particularly enjoys pathology because it feels like solving a puzzle; however, her aim is to work in general practice. At school, she serves as the Vice President of the Companion Animal Club and works as a Student Ambassador. She loves Blacksburg and feels incredibly fortunate to see mountains on her daily commute to school.
Megan is Fear-Free and Cat-Friendly certified. She loves acquiring new skills that will benefit her future patients and is forever grateful to Franklin Farm Vet for introducing her to the world of Fear-Free practices. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2023 and cherished every moment spent in Charlottesville. She was very involved as a student counselor and conducted biology research for two years, raising over 3,000 plants for her project!
Megan’s favorite activity is teaching her dog, Winnie, new tricks. The latest additions to Winnie’s repertoire are “dance” and “spin,” while “speak” is still in beta mode [citation].
