Dr. Nelson started working at GAVC in May 2010 after working for a year in Cloquet and three years in the Twin Cities. She enjoys doing soft tissue surgeries as well as tackling difficult internal medicine cases. She lives in Duluth and enjoys doing many athletic activities with her husband, including running, canoeing, biking, camping, and Nordic skiing. She loves dog training and enjoys competing in Agility with her Weimaraner, Luna. Her menagerie includes: Timo the Yellow Lab, Luna, Midas the Bengal cat, and Angel the cockatiel [citation].
