After receiving her bachelor’s in marine biology and biology from Stockton College (now Stockton University), she received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from St. George’s University. She has been in the field since she was 16 years old, starting as a tech assistant, working her way up to vet technician and then becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Stevenson has worked in many practices in the Tri-state area both as an associate veterinarian as well as a relief veterinarian. She is especially interested in dermatology and behavioral medicine.
Dr. Stevenson lives in Cherry Hill, NJ with her husband Frank, dogs Shih Tzu/Jack Russel mix “Hope” and French bulldog “Chubbs”. When she’s not caring for small animals, Dr. Lauren likes to travel and stay fit lifting weights and doing kickboxing. She has had many experiences practicing veterinary medicine in countries less fortunate than our own, such as Grenada and Brazil, and has worked with multiple rescues. Dr. Lauren is very down-to-earth–which is fitting since she often examines patients down on the exam room floor. She wants her patients to feel comfortable and make the exam room as non-threatening as possible. She also wants her patient’s humans to be at ease. “My goal is to have an owner walk out with more confidence about their pet’s care by knowing their pet will be treated like family.”
