Dr. Michael Anthony is a life-long lover of animals and grew up outside Washington, DC in a house where there were pets of all shapes and sizes. These pets became such an important part of his childhood, that he made the decision in college to devote his life to their care and well-being. He graduated from Dartmouth College cum laude with a degree in psychology and then went to the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated with honors with an emphasis in small animals. His career has taken him across South Jersey and he has worked in general and emergency practices over Camden, Gloucester, and Ocean Counties. His career took a different turn in 2009 when he began to work at a practice that specialized in integrative medicine. He learned about chiropractic, herbal, and homeopathic medicine, and decided to pursue a certification in veterinary acupuncture. He completed his training in 2012 and has been practicing integrative medicine since. Besides acupuncture, Dr. Anthony is also proficient in chiropractic treatments, herbal medicine, and using food as medicine with an emphasis on Chinese modalities of healing. In his free time, Dr. Anthony is an avid runner, reader, and a lover of movies. He also enjoys playing soccer and all other sports with his two very active sons. He currently has one cat and three dogs that also keep him busy
