Mary Schubert Gang graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. She was employed in South Jersey as a veterinarian for six years. In 1995, she established the Veterinary House Call Service. When her client base expanded beyond her expectations, Dr. Gang realized the need to open her own small animal hospital. In 1999, Dr. Gang established the Hartford Animal Hospital. Her intention was, and is, to maintain a friendly, intimate practice in which clients may be confident that their pets will be treated with kindness, respect, and dignity by an experienced, skilled general practitioner and staff.
Professional areas of special interest for Dr. Gang include diabetic maintenance, general dentistry, geriatrics, and dermatology. She regularly attends continuing education programs to advance her knowledge.
Dr. Gang is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), NJVMA (New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association), and PVMA (Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association). Today, Dr. Gang is delighted to have achieved her lifelong goal to be "the other family doctor" - for the fluffier members of the family.
Dr. Gang's own family includes three dogs, five cats, and a variety of birds. The hospital's official greeters and mascots are our wonderful cat "Sly" and majestic bird "Echo." [citation]
