Dr. Kerri Slomcenski's fascination and love of all animals began early. Growing up in a household filled with dogs, fish, gerbils, hamsters, and even a pet rat, prepared her for a future career in veterinary medicine. During her high school years, when not being distracted by animals, Dr. Kerri became an accomplished swimmer and competed in the Junior Olympics. After becoming a certified veterinary technician in 1999, Dr. Kerri worked as an ICU technician at Blue Pearl Veterinary Hospital in Tampa. Later she applied to and was accepted by the University of Florida's vet school program. After graduating in 2006, Dr. Kerri honed her skills at a multi-doctor veterinary practice. Then in 2011, she launched Hays Towne Veterinary Hospital where she continues to practice cutting-edge veterinary medicine. Dr. Kerri is also a proud "dog mom" herself and works with a number of pet rescue groups across Central Florida.
