Hedda Burnett is originally from New Hampshire and moved to NYC after graduating from Bates College in Maine. She attended veterinary school at Iowa State University where she graduated Cum Laude. Dr. Burnett then went on to complete a one year rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. She then settled in Brooklyn and practiced at Hope Animal Hospital for 5 years under the mentorship of esteemed vet, Dr. Kristine Young. In 2018, Dr. Burnett decided to forge her own path and start a practice with Dr. Erin Dockery in Brooklyn Heights.
Dr. Burnett has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, and internal medicine. But the best part of her job is connecting with clients, earning their trust, and making the right decisions for every family and their pets.
Outside of work, Dr. Burnett is an avid runner, enjoys everything outdoors, cooking, and traveling with her husband. She has two children who enjoy chasing their two ridiculous cats – Chicken and Mini Monster.
