Dr. Kelly Walker was born in Maine and grew up with a variety of small mammals, cats, dogs, birds, and reptiles. She decided to become a veterinarian at the age of 4 and began working in veterinary medicine and wildlife rehabilitation when she was 16. Kelly earned her Associate’s Degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in 2013, then moved to Colorado, where she earned her bachelor’s degree at CSU in Biological Sciences with a focus on Anatomy and Physiology and completed the Colorado State University / University of Alaska Fairbanks Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program in May 2021. She continued growing her interests in exotic and small animal medicine throughout veterinary school and found new passions for veterinary communication and Fear-free medicine. After crossing paths with Home to Heaven early in her veterinary career, Kelly is excited to join the team!
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys running with her dog, camping, caring for her aquarium and houseplants, and reading everything she can find.
