Dr. Kimberly OeDell was born and raised here in Oregon and had a love for pets at a young age. Her love of animals came from her late grandmother who was elated when she heard Kimberly had been accepted into OSU veterinary program. Dr. OeDell grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and chickens, and as she got older and saved up babysitting money, she purchased her first horse. She graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. During her 4 years of doctorate training, she did an internship on the Island of Rarotonga, one of the Cook Islands in the South Pacific.
After graduation, she moved to Molalla, and while working locally, she fell in love with the town and people. After several years, she decided this is where she wanted to stay and transitioned into opening her very own practice.
In 2010, Hope Animal hospital was opened as a passion of Dr. OeDell’s and the current practice manager, Katie Holmes. The mission was to start a compassionate, family-friendly, and affordable practice that practiced high-quality medicine, surgery, and care. Dr. OeDell has special interests in surgery, geriatric medicine, and neonatal care.
In her free time, she spends time with her husband and 5 children, Sean, Noah, Hannah, Mesa, and Madi. In addition to her two-legged children, she is surrounded by her dogs, cats, horses, and pet cow.
