Katie Atkinson was born and raised in Ray Township, Michigan. She is a 2002 graduate of Romeo High School. She then attended Michigan State University, where she majored in Animal Science and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010. Katie has been a part of Imlay City Veterinary Clinic since 2011. She enjoys practicing general medicine and performing both soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures. She highly values the relationships she builds between a pet and their owner and loves the challenge of diagnosing a pet who cannot speak for themselves. Katie is a member of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time, she enjoys CrossFit, horseback riding, camping, reading, and cheering on her Michigan State Spartans. She lives in Imlay City with her husband and four children. She has a wonderful German Shorthair Pointer named Booker, two cats, three horses, and a small herd of cattle [citation].
