Dr. Neisius spent most of her childhood growing up in Wichita, KS. She attended Kansas State University where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the KSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After graduation, she was employed at the Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital of Wichita. She joined the Indian Hills Animal Clinic team in July of 2006. In January of 2013, she purchased the practice and became the sole owner of both clinic locations. Dr. Neisius’ professional interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine. She is a member of the Wichita Veterinary Medical Association, Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, The American Heartworm Society, The International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, and The American Association of Feline Practitioners. In 2012, Dr. Neisius was nominated and served on the board of directors for the Kansas Humane Society, being the chairman of the board for the 2016 year. Dr. Neisius is always happy to give back to the Wichita community by volunteering as the Veterinarian on Duty at Woofstock and organizing Wichita’s annual Dog-N-Jog fundraiser event. When not at work, you’ll catch Dr. Neisius and her shih tzu, Stanley, supporting the Friends University Baseball team, coached by her husband, Adam, or trying to cook “like the fancy chefs on tv!” [citation].
