Dr. Lee received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1999 from Oklahoma State University. She has practiced medicine in and around the DFW area for more than 23 years. Dr. Lee has extensive experience in small animal medicine and surgery, and has a particular interest in internal medicine, reproduction, dentistry, and physical rehabilitation. She also has specialized training in ultrasound and regenerative medicine procedures.
Dr. Lee grew up in rural Southeastern Oklahoma, only about 2 hours northeast of Krum. She was raised on a farm and at an early age knew that veterinary medicine was her calling. “According to my mom, I stated at 4-5 years of age that I was going to be a Veterinarian and I never changed my mind,” says Dr. Lee. “I always had a passion for animals and learning everything about them.”
While growing up, she had horses and was very active with high school rodeo and showing. Her family raised Quarter horses, and she spent many hours riding and watching horse racing. She also enjoys being outdoors, listening to live music, watching college football, and of course, baseball. She truly enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is a huge Oklahoma State athletics fan and you will catch her in bright orange most of the time.
Dr. Lee and her husband Shane and son Kase have made Krum their home. They specifically searched for a small, caring community in which to raise their family. They have embraced the community and enjoy being active with the schools and other surrounding community events. Kase is now in high school and plays baseball almost year around, so most of their free time is now spent at the ball field. Dr. Lee has one dog named Pistol, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, who is usually hanging out at the office during the day and travels with them to most of the ball games. Pistol is very friendly and loves greeting clients and attending school events [citation][2].
